Based on different pore sizes, Membrane Filtration can be divided to Micro-Filtration Membrane (0.05 -1.0um), Ultra-Filtration Membrane (0.005 – 0.5um), Nano-Filtration Membrane (0.0005 -0.01um) and Reverse Osmosis Membrane (0.0001-0.001um).

Working Principle

Ultra-filtration is a pressure-driven purification process in which water and low molecular weight substances permeate a membrane while particles, colloids, and macromolecules are filtered. The primary removal mechanism is size exclusion. A properly designed UF cartridge allows efficient rising of ionic residue from the cleaning and rapidly returns to optimal resistivity and organic purity.
